The Maidenhead Wellbeing Festival - Round Up
Well where do we start…
What an incredible day Sunday 22nd September turned out to be. It was truly wonderful to see so much support for Wellbeing in the Maidenhead community.
After three weeks of amazing sunshine, we all knew rain was predicted for the day - but everyone was stoic and keen to carry on regardless - and fortunately thanks to the wonderful team at the Nicholson Centre, when ‘Storm September’ hit the High Street, (and boy did it hit!), we had some indoor space to relocate some stallholders to.
The pictures below and speak for themselves… and present a flavour of what happened during the day. And you’ll find more on our Facebook Page.
Huge thanks to all our stall holders and our Hub Speakers - class instructors and musicians - not to mention the wonderful PHS Team who worked solidly to bring this fabulous event together:
Julian Dale of Eagle Claw Kung Fu kicked off the activities with a calming Tai Chi demonstration, Louise Kelly from Creative Transformation shared her wonderful soothing and rejuvenating meditations, Fitness Space came and did an excellent lunch time workout getting us all a little hot and sweaty and raising our energy, Evie Whitehead from Evie Nutrition gave two wonderful Nutrition talks packed with practical advice and things to take away and do, Jo Haley, The Positive Image Coach, gave a really insightful talk about 5 Ways to Feel Great that got everyone smiling and feeling good, Margot and Henry Harris shared their story as to how they’ve stayed fit, happy and mentally well for the last 89 years - and Henry, the comedian of the pair didn’t disappoint and had us all in fits. Kyle Stanger of Boys Get Sad Too, talked about his brand, how it came to be and the important message and sentiment behind it. Charlotte Brockman founder of Mad Millennials shared her inspiring story and the mission Mad Millennials is on - to be the voice of support for the youth generation struggling with anxiety and depression. And last but by no means least, Leah Morgan, founder of Maggie’s School of Love and Light - ended the festivities in the Hub with a beautiful soothing Gong bath meditation. The perfect end to a perfect day in The Hub.
Huge thanks also to our fantastic and hugely talented musicians. There’s nothing like music to lift the soul and there was singing, dancing and clapping a plenty. We had music from Tabitha and her Tuneless Choir, local funk and soul collective, Funkin Souled Out and some brill DJ tunes throughout the day from Payman & Russky.
